HAWORTH PRIMARY SCHOOL

Following successful projects previously undertaken by Stratus9 Consulting Limited at two of the Bronte Academy Trust’s other schools, we were asked to review and undertake any necessary action at another of their sites. Stratus9 identified additional improvement works that could be undertaken to strengthen the safeguarding at Haworth Primary School.

The school is situated in a semi-rural area with open aspects to part of the school boundaries where the site is adjacent to fields and woodland. Police incident reports and photographic evidence highlighted trespassing, vandalism, arson, damage to property and anti-social behaviour occurrences, all of which have a direct impact on the school and the welfare of pupils, staff and visitors. The safety of its pupils and staff is Haworth Primary School’s highest priority.

With Stratus9’s help, the provision of a welded mesh panel system as perimeter fencing along with sections of knee rails, a number of gates and other security provisions ensured that Haworth Primary School have excellent control over access to the site, ensuring the safety of its pupils and staff as well as the added bonus of an uninterrupted curriculum. The project was completed on time and within budget and met the school’s requirements.
