St James C of E High School

Following the successful delivery of a previous new build block, completed in 2019, and several other successful projects, the school appointed Stratus9 to undertake the design and delivery of the dilapidated dining and teaching block.

The old dilapidated block formed the school’s dining facility and kitchen on the ground floor along with Art classrooms on the 1stfloor. The building was suffering from extensive amounts of foundation failure and subsidence which was causing the super structure of the block to fail and was impacting upon the education and welfare of pupils.

Stratus9 Consulting were successful in securing grant funding for the school via the Condition Improvement Fund to deliver the new build construction project.

Stratus9 delivered the project on time, within budget to high quality standards in line with the Department for Education’s design guides. The School now benefits from a state-of-the-art Kitchen & Dining Hall facility, which provides children with nutritious meals a warm and safe environment.

The new build also benefits from new art facilities in large open plan classrooms with the latest technology ensuring low running and maintenance costs.

Stratus9 Consulting have successfully delivered the school their second brand-new fit for purpose facility which will provide excellent environment for pupils to learn and excel for many years to come.
