DENHOLME PRIMARY SCHOOL

Stratus9 were again appointed by The Nurture Academies Trust to undertake a fire safety compliance survey on Denholme Primary School. Upon inspection it was noted the school was lacking any form of substantial fire compartmentation with majority of the doors being non-compliant to modern day standards in fire protection.

The school were awarded £290k in CIF funding which was procured, designed and delivered by Stratus9 Consulting. Life safety is an essential part of the fire upgrades at Denholme Primary School and can be attributed to the poor/lack of fire performance throughout the building’s fabric.

Stratus9’s building surveyors ensured the school was upgraded with the latest in fire door technology with an intensive 6-week Summer period installation. Areas of deleterious materials within the building’s fabric were also identified and removed during the life cycle of the project.

Not only does the school benefit from having brand new fire compliant doors and compartmentation lines throughout the building’s fabric, it also has areas free from deleterious materials which is key in modern health and safety regulations.
